Focus on East Asia
The Program in East Asian Studies offers a major and a minor that are interdisciplinary and interdepartmental. The program’s primary purpose is to introduce undergraduates to the knowledge, language skills, and research methods they will need to enter various academic and professional paths relating to China, Japan, and Korea.

Major in East Asian Studies
This interdepartmental major allows students to choose a focus area from history, political science, sociology, history of science, technology, and medicine, or to design their own focus area.
Language and Culture Immersion
Thanks to partnerships with schools in China and Japan, study abroad opportunities abound.
Graduate Studies
